The books are personally read and selected by the couple and, I must say, they have brilliant taste. I never used to be a fan of Richard and Judy, however, just lately I am finding that they are going up in my estimation, as basically genuine people, who seem to have a passion for the books they discuss and recommend. I very much wish I had more time to read.

The club is made up of three categories - Reading together, Reading by yourself and Fluent reader - with six book titles in each. Richard and Judy have been credited with boosting book sales and reading for pleasure through this initiative and earlier, by recommending books on their television programme.
